After high school, I decided I wanted the "traditional" college experience and declined the opportunity to play collegiate softball - an almost immediately regrettable decision. Not only had I given up the friendships a team sport provided, but I forfeited the health and fitness levels training awarded me. I began running, signed up for a small local gym and tried group fitness classes for the first time. I wasn't amused. In 2015 I moved to Texas. After a few months of exploring ALL the amazing food (and beer!) Austin had to offer, I decided it was time to make a big lifestyle change. I found Tim and Keelee at a CrossFit gym close to my home, and immediately signed on. CrossFit has given me back everything I miss about softball: the amazing community, the friendly competition, and my health by way of a daily WOD that doesn't feel like just another workout. I truly love the sport and have even grown to love a quick trip to the dark place during an especially hard WOD.
Motivation & Passion
The coaches are what truly make a box what it is. Having coaches that genuinely care, that pushed me just a little harder, and that never gave up on me allowed me to become the strongest, healthiest, and happiest version of myself. Now that I am a coach, I have the opportunity to pay it forward and share the knowledge and support I received over the years with the hope that I will make a positive impact to others on their journey to their best self. I look forward to celebrating every bit of effort, every achievement, and every PR that may come in each class.
