At CFSH you are part of a community. Our community is full of individuals from all walks of life who all share a common goal: having fun with fitness. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up (stretching, mobility, activating those muscles) then flows into the skill/strength portion and then we finish with the WOD (workout of the day).
CrossFit is “constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity”. So what does that mean? It means that every day when you walk into the box it will be something different than the day before. It means that you’ll do things you never imagined yourself doing and that you’ll constantly get better at things that were once difficult for you. It means you’ll have more flexibility and move with a little more pep in your step. It means you’ll have more energy and more self-confidence. It’s means you’ll be learning new things and pushing yourself beyond what you thought you were capable of.
You’ll get to experience this every time you come into the box. You’ll be in a class setting with other members who are there to encourage and support you and your journey. You’ll get to work with our amazing coaching staff as we guide you through the class to ensure safety and effectiveness based on your individual needs.
You can expect to experience a learning curve when starting CrossFit. You’re going to be doing movements and lifts you’ve never done before. Another thing that makes CrossFit so great is that movements can be scaled to be the best and safest fit for YOU. Patience is key during these learning curves. We focus on the mechanics and consistency then we crank up the intensity!
