CFSH is proud to announce that September’s Athlete of the Month is Scott Tucker! Chances are if you’ve ever worked out in the evening at the box, you’ve met Scott. He’s got a great, positive attitude and he’s usually already sweating before the warm-up has started! He’s the guy getting fired up before lifts and the WOD. He fights his way through each WOD until he calls time and then he’s immediately cheering on his fellow athletes. He loves a good competition and shows great sportsmanship. He’s open to coaching and help from everyone and he’s super appreciative of it. His lifts have gotten stronger, technique has improved tremendously in all domains and he’s always working on improving even more. He’s crushing muscle-ups and pull-ups, improving pistols and constantly striving to knock-out those double unders. We’re so glad you’re a part of our FITFAM here at CFSH!

How has CrossFit impacted your life?
It has put me in the best shape I’ve ever been in and gives me that extra boost from day to day.

What’s your favorite thing about CFSH?
I really like the coaches. As far as teaching technique, suggesting weight for WODs, motivating athletes, or just sitting around shooting the shit. They’re good at what they do.

What is your favorite movement? Least favorite movement?
Favorite: overhead squat
Least: squat snatch

What are some of your CrossFit goals?
Learn butterfly pull ups, be consistent with my double unders and beat Tim in very WOD.

What movements would be in a WOD made just for you?
Power clean, Burpee’s, T2B and a run

How would you friends describe you?
I believe they would say he’s loyal, good-time having, cheerful, fairly blunt, yet charming. And a hardworking, country boy. (We totally agree!)

What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?
Cooled beer and good live music.

What’s your favorite meal?
Medium rare Steak and shrimp

Isn’t Scotty Potty the best nickname, ever?
I have a lot of nicknames from different groups but I’ll say Scotty Potty is the best one ever! Lol
